Lee Mandarin

As opposed to tangerine, for some reason, this variety is called a Lee Mandarin. It is more like a tangerine in form, than that what we usually associate with the Christmas Satsuma Mandarin. It does peel fairly easily, has a rich taste, is extremely juicy and has a very high sugar content that is often found over 15 points. It usually has few seeds and grows on a upright but gangly tree. Its bright color sets it apart from other "tangerines" Its origin is not known, but is believed to be a Clementine tangerine cross.
