African Shaddock

This unique fruit was discovered by Captain Shaddock in Southeast Asia and transported to South Africa. It was used as not only a fruit, but also as a room freshener, as it has a very pleasant, subtle fragrance, when stored at room temperature. The fragrance of the fruit is also in the flavor of the fruit that has to be tasted to be appreciated. It is very meaty and has a very complex flavor. You need to peel it twice. First score and remove the skin, then break it open and peel back the white membrane. Eat it slowly and savor the pulp, as the four different parts of the section taste different.
