This medium-sized fruit is one of the sweetest of the tangerine family and is a cross between a Clementine tangerine and an Orlando tangelo. It is a rich tasting, juicy fruit that can be a little more seedy that other varieties. The tree is smaller that other tangerines, but is a heavy bearer. Other producers often pick this tangerine in late October or early November. We choose to pick much later, usually in late December or early January, when the fruit is really sweet, testing 13-15 points of solids.
