I discovered this fruit as a single tree in an orchard near Lindsay, California. There is little discussion in any literature, except that Siamese Pink is listed as a variety, but I have a friend from Thailand that tried it and said that it was from her country. So I have taken her word for it. This is a pomelo that is very sweet and more juicy that most of the others. It does not produce great quantities of fruit as other pomelos do. I have only younger trees as a hard freeze killed most of our older trees. We are fortunate to have it, as the parent tree was removed over ten years ago. This variety, along with the African Shaddock, is my favorite fruit.
