In my opinion, this is one of best pomelos grown. It has a relatively thin skin and is sweet and crunchy. It has a lot of seeds, but it is worth it. Do not refrigerate this fruit like you may others. Rather put it on the top of your refrigerator, and when it smells so good that you have to eat it, it is fully aged. It is very low acid and pink inside. You need to peel it twice. First the skin, then break it open and peel back the white membrane. Eat it slowly and savor the pulp as different parts of the section will taste different. This variety comes originally from Malaysia and carried to South Africa, by a Captain Shaddock, in his travels around the globe.
