Finger limes are sometimes referred to as Citrus Caviar, the Citrus of Caviar, or Caviar Lime. This is a very apt description for the shape of the vesicles once the fruit has been cut open are indeed the size and shape of caviar yet the flavor is acidic and tangy just like limes.
