Torange Lemon

[Contact us for a price]

This kind of fruit is the largest lemon-type fruit that we grow. It originated in the Near East that now includes the countries of Iraq and Iran. The name in Farsi is Bollange'. The flavor is somewhat like a lemon, but without any bitterness. Its fresh, clean taste is very different. If you will rub the skin you will smell a sweet aroma that is part of the taste. Those of you that like fresh lemon, I personally guarantee, will love this fruit. The rind of the fruit is made into a jam, somewhat like marmalade, but with a taste more like that of a sweet perfume. They are very frost sensitive and thus have to be grown in a frost-free area. Another name for this one is the Ponderosa Lemon.
