Eureka Lemon

[Contact us for a price]

The origin of the lemon is unknown but it is probably related to the citron and may have been crossed with a lime. It was first reported to be cultivated in North Africa and Spain in about 1000 AD and was introduced into Europe about the time of the Crusades. Buck Brand Lemons are grown on a narrow micro-climate that occurs along the base of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The foothills provide a natural "wind machine" that pulls warmer air at the slightly higher elevations across the groves, keeping warmer during freezes. Some of these lemons are grown at Deer Creek Heights Ranch, but most of them are grown by an 82 year young farmer, John Cemo, and his wife Ramona and they still do most of the basic farming themselves. Run your hand across the lemon to release its fragrance.
